The Oregon Clinic’s Urology division welcomes Jacob Richard, MD.  His special interest lies in urinary stones, minimally invasive surgery and robotic surgery.  He most recently worked as a House Officer for North Carolina Baptist Hospital, Department of Urology in Winston-Salem, N.C.  Dr. Richard will assist in the development and expansion of urology care at Providence Willamette Falls Medical Center.

Dr. Richard received his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in Pittsburgh, Pa., in 2005.  He completed his internship in general surgery and his residency in urology at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center.

Originally from Duluth, Minn., Dr. Richard graduated from the University of Southern California, in Los Angeles, Calif., in 2001, where he majored in biological sciences.  He is the author of numerous research articles and frequently presents research findings at medical conferences and assemblies.

Dr. Richard now lives in Portland with his wife who is currently a pediatric hematology-oncology fellow.  During his spare time, Dr. Richard enjoys soccer, hiking and cooking.
