Glenn M. Eisen, M.D., a gastroenterologist at The Oregon Clinic, has received acclaim from two noteworthy publications this month. He has been included on this year’s “75 of the Best Gastroenterologists in America” list by Becker’s ASC Review and on the “Top Doctors” list by The Portland Monthly.
Becker’s ASC Review named Dr. Eisen as one of the 75 best gastroenterologists in America after extensive independent research following an online nomination process that lasted several months. The Chicago publication chose its finalists based on recommendations, background, and training as well as for their leadership and involvement in universities, research organizations and nationally recognized gastroenterology associations.
Dr. Eisen was also included among 292 doctors in 59 specialties on the “2011 Top Doctors” list published in the January issue of the Portland Monthly Magazine. In addition to Dr. Eisen, 34 other physicians from The Oregon Clinic were named in the “Top Doc” list. This list was culled from a survey of 5,501 licensed doctors in the tricounty area and southwestern Washington. Each physician nominated up to 25 outstanding doctors in the region in the 59 specialties. These nominations were combined with an extensive nationwide survey conducted by an independent medical researcher. After checking credentials and verifying that doctors did not vote for themselves, the publication chose those physicians with the most nominations in each category.
